A Legacy of Care
Immanuel General Hospital, Eket is one of the three group reference hospitals in Akwa Ibom State. Established as a government-owned institution and serving Eket Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and beyond for decades, the hospital has grown from a modest facility into a multi-specialty hospital and training centre.
The hospital is an accredited centre for training of House Officers on Internship in four core clinical departments (Surgery, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Pharmacist on Internship, Post Graduate Rotation training for general practioners (Family Medicine). It currently has Consultants across multiple specialties alongside Chief Medical Officers, Principal Medical Officers, Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers and support staff.
In recent years, the Akwa Ibom State Government commissioned a major remodeling and re-equipping programme for the Dialysis Centre, Intensive Care Unit, Isolation Unit, Imaging Department, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Paediatrics Centre, Dental Centre, Public Health Department, Eye Clinic and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Unit .
